Job Title: Counselling Executive
Department: Admissions & Student Support

Reports To: Admissions Manager / Head of Admissions
Job Summary
The Counselling Executive will be responsible for guiding prospective students and their parents through the admissions process, providing detailed information about courses, career opportunities, and campus facilities. The role involves handling inquiries, conducting counselling sessions, following up with leads, and ensuring smooth conversion of inquiries into admissions.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling & Guidance:
Counsel prospective students and parents on courses, eligibility, career opportunities, and academic pathways.
Provide accurate information about programs, fee structures, scholarships, hostel facilities, and other services.
Admissions & Lead Management:
Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-ins related to admissions.
Maintain and update student inquiries in the CRM/admission portal.
Follow up with prospective students to ensure timely admissions conversion.
Career & Academic Support:
Assist students in identifying the right course/program as per their interest, aptitude, and career goals.
Guide students regarding entrance exams, admission criteria, and documentation process.
Events & Outreach:
Participate in education fairs, career guidance sessions, and institutional promotional activities.
Coordinate with schools, coaching centres, and agencies to build strong admission pipelines.
Reporting & Coordination:
Prepare regular reports on inquiries, conversions, and student feedback.
Work closely with the admissions, marketing, and academic teams to ensure smooth processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Education, Management, Psychology, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in counselling/admissions (preferably in the education sector).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Good convincing and persuasive skills with a student-first approach.
Proficiency in MS Office and admission/CRM software.
Ability to handle pressure and meet admission targets.
